For Christians, our every year has its origin and its climax at a time determined by the earth and the sun and the moon and the human-made cycle of a seven-day week. The marvelous accidents of earth&s place and sun&s place, of axis and orbit make cycles ... These are the most important days of the whole church year, even though they don&t get tagged as “holy days of obligation.” Lent ends at sundown on Thursday of this week and we enter the Paschal Triduum (3 days). ...
